Don’t forget to participate in today’s fill-in-the-blank at the bottom of the post!
Wow, this has been one exciting week I would say. I’ve met a lot of great bloggers, picked up my eBay sales, have my jewelry store back in effect … what more can a work from home mom want?
OK, SLEEP!
But besides that?
I haven’t received much of that recently. But to me, it’s all worth it.
I see so many people complaining about how they can’t find a job (even though I don’t see them looking). But as people with a brain, there are plenty of opportunities to make money from home.
I’ve heard a few people ask, “Ohh do I have to invest in that? Because I don’t have any money”.
Well, that’s funny. I could have sworn that was you coming out of the nail shop Downtown Oak Park last Friday. Didn’t I see you and your girls paying to get in that club on Madison Street? But, I guess that’s why you don’t have any money.
And I won’t say that you’ll get rich quick, but it’s better than NO income! Or maybe that’s just me.
It’s true. There are many ways to make money, online or from home, legit ways may I add. Some involve NO startup cost. Some involve a small startup cost. Some involve MAJOR you have to be kidding me startup cost (it’s like Drake said, “Started from the bottom now we’re here”).
We’ve been trained to believe that we must work FOR someone else in order to get ahead in life. When in fact, it’s all a lie. YES, we depend on our society and the world for that matter, but we should not depend on an individual company to make us money.
Let’s play a game, fill in the blanks…
Think back (way back for some) to when you were a freshman in high school and answer this question:
I want to get good grades, so when I graduate I _______________.
Now I want to see all the wonderful answers below. Come Tuesday we’ll pick this up.

…will have plenty of opportunities to support myself and my family. I was valedictorian. 😉
…can get into a good college. Although I did eventually end up graduating from a good college (UC Davis), I didn’t go right out of high school. I ended up having a baby when I was in high school, then doing a lot of bad things with my life. Finally in my 20’s I went to a community college and from there transferred to university. Which just shows that you can overcome and do what you want to do, you just have to work for it and not expect someone else to do it for you. I enjoyed this blog post!
so i can have a career that I am happy with.
…..don’t end up flipping burgers or delivering pizzas for the rest of my life.
…………get into dental school and become a dentist! That was my goal.
So I can be the CEO of some company.
… will become a successful entrepreneur.
Could be a teacher. 🙂 But I’ve moved past the work-30-then-retire mentality with it!
I get to work for myself like I’m doing now! I love being my own boss. Tomorrow I eat breakfast with a friend. Yes please.
